Tag connections DEV, STAGE or PROD, make sensitive ones read-only, and get a risk score before a destructive statement runs. Each environment can also switch the editor theme, using NexQL Themes.

How you use it

  1. Tag connections DEV, STAGE or PROD

    Set the tag in Settings Hub. The label shows in the status bar, the notebook strip and the tab accents when a .pgsql file is focused.

  2. Turn on read-only for sensitive connections

    The extension blocks writes on that connection. Auto-LIMIT still applies to SELECTs.

  3. Check the risk score before destructive SQL

    DELETE without WHERE, TRUNCATE and DROP open a scored dialog with Execute, Transaction and Cancel.

    DELETE FROM orders WHERE status = 'pending';
  4. Switch profiles for role context

    Admin and analyst presets are in the status bar. One click changes the environment and read-only together.
